Kaw Nation and Cherokee Nation Implemented Water Quality Data Management Systems
- Kaw Nation and Cherokee Nation have
implemented the Exchange Network Tribal
Environmental System to provide water
quality data analysis and data sharing
capabilities. This lightweight web-based
tool allows tribes to manage ambient water
quality data, view data geospatially,
analyze data via a variety of graphs, and
submit a copy of their data to EPA in XML

iPACS supports No Drugs Down the Drain Campaign - The County Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County (the Sanitation Districts) launched a major campaign in the second quarter of 2008 to raise public awareness of the proper disposal procedures of pharmaceuticals. The Sanitation districts used iPACS to manage inspections for this special campaign covering 78 cities and approximately 800 square miles. The Sanitation Districts also used FAST to efficiently perform 728 electronic inspections within 3 months. Read more...
iPACS Goes Live in Chicago - The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC), one of the world's largest wastewater treatment authorities, began using iPACS in Production on November 10, 2008 as its central environmental data management system for industrial waste control and pretreatment program. Ohio EPA Success Story - Computer Technologies Help Environmental Compliance - The Ohio EPA (OEPA) saves time, resources and improves regulatory compliance for its NPDES Discharge Monitoring Reporting (DMR) program by implementing a web-based E2 system from enfoTech.
E2 went into production on October 21, 2007. Within 11 months, OEPA achieved an 83% participation rate from all DMR permittees. As of September 2008, 2612 permittees submit their DMR data online via E2 and the data are directly transferred to OEPA's central database. Read more...
